Every Dollar and Every Hour Can Make Twice the Difference
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Skyline Spartans Lacrosse Club relies entirely on community support to provide
championship-level coaching, field access, equipment, and financial scholarships to ensure every dedicated young
athlete can participate regardless of economic circumstances. Your employer can help you amplify your support, often
at no additional cost to you!
Two Ways to Maximize Your Impact
Donation Matching Programs
Many companies match charitable donations made by employees dollar-for-dollar—and some even double or triple your contribution! Whether you donate $50 or $500, your employer may match it automatically.
How it works:
- You make a donation to Skyline Spartans Lacrosse Club
- You submit a matching gift request through your employer
- Your company sends an equal (or greater) donation to SSLC
- Your impact doubles or triples!
Volunteer Hour Matching
If you volunteer your time as a coach, team manager, board member, or help at games and events, your employer may provide matching funds to SSLC in recognition of your volunteer hours, typically $10-$30 per hour volunteered.
How it works:
- You volunteer with Skyline Spartans (coaching, team management, event support, etc.)
- You log your hours through your employer's system
- Your company provides matching funds to SSLC based on hours volunteered
- Your time creates financial support!
How to Submit Through Benevity
Many local companies use Benevity to manage their corporate giving programs. Here's how to maximize your impact:
For Donation Matching:
- Access your company's Benevity portal
- Go to your company's specific Benevity site (e.g., yourcompany.benevity.org)
- Or search "Benevity" on your company intranet
- Log in with your corporate credentials
- Click "Browse Giving Opportunities" or "Donate"
- Search for Skyline Spartans Lacrosse Club
- Select our organization (Sammamish, WA | EIN: 45-2816958)
- Choose your donation method
- "Donate Now" – Make an immediate donation through the portal (credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or payroll deduction)
- "Request a Match" – If you already donated by check or online, upload your donation receipt to request matching
- Complete the process by following the prompts to finalize your donation and/or match request
- You'll receive a confirmation email for tax purposes
- Your company will process the match automatically
For Volunteer Hour Matching:
- Access your company's Benevity portal
- Navigate to volunteer tracking - Look for "Track Time," "Log Hours," or "Volunteer" section

- Log your volunteer hours
- Report hours regularly (monthly or quarterly recommended)

Why Corporate Matching Matters
Boys' lacrosse receives no funding from Skyline High School or the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association
(WIAA), making all program costs, coaching, field rentals, equipment, and operations, entirely dependent on community
support. Corporate matching programs help us:
- Maintain championship-level coaching and training for over 130 players from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Provide financial scholarships to ensure no dedicated athlete is excluded due to economic circumstances
- Support innovative programs like our Spartan Army POD mentorship system and Leadership Scholarship initiative
- Cover essential costs including field rentals, equipment, referee fees, and tournament registrations
