Volunteering
Skyline Spartans Lacrosse Club is a volunteer run organization and you will be asked select how you'll volunteer when signing up. If you are unable to volunteer, there is an opt out option with a fee associated; however, teams rely on these roles to ensure the season runs smoothly.
Team Manager - Each team has a Team Manager responsible for updating Team Snap with events and coordinating volunteers. Usually a parent experienced in the program.
Photographer and Videographer - Each team needs a Photographer to capture and share (via TeamSnap and/or SmugMug) the excitement of the games and events. In addition, a Videographer would be helpful for coaches and players to analyze and learn from their games.
Each home game requires a Score Keeper, Spotter and Timekeeper during the game. Field setup and take down before and after. The team manager will organize volunteers for each home game.
Score Keeping - Each game requires a Score Keeper seated on the teams-side of the field to keep score. This is a great way to get involved, especially if you are new to the sport to learn the game from a different perspective. There are clinics available to learn how to keep score.
Spotter - Each game needs a spotter on the teams-side of the field to keep track of game and player stats and aid the scorekeeper.
Timekeeper - Each home game requires a Timekeeper on the teams-side of the field to keep track of game time and penalty times.
Field Setup & Take Down - Each home game needs an Equipment Manager to set up and take down field equipment - table, tent, scoreboard, goals and corners.
